Laura Danga

Programme Coordinator – Botswana

Global Water Partnership Southern Africa

Laura has over 10 years’ professional experience as a Water Resources Specialist as well as a Researcher in the broader Environmental field in the NGO’s and private sector in Botswana, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. She currently holds a Master of Science degree (MSc.) Water Resources Management from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Her research interests include Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), Groundwater Governance, Water and Sanitation management, Water and Climate Change Nexus, Water Policy, Corporate Environmental Responsibility and Sustainability. Her expertise includes preparation of Concept Notes, Stakeholder Engagement and Liaison processes, preparation of technical reports, publications, and presentations (written and verbal); both at local and international level. Laura envisages to engage other experts in the Water Sector and increase research outputs such as technical and policy briefs as well as scientific publications in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)2030 aligned to improving Water Security both at country level (Botswana) and internationally. She would like to keep abreast with innovations and continually apply her acquired knowledge in advancing Water Resources Research.
