Clement Chebani is the Managing Director of Rooted Deck (Pty) Ltd, a Botswana-based EPC and digital integration firm advancing engineering collaboration, industrial automation, and intelligent mining systems.

With over 25 years of experience in diamond exploration and large-scale mining operations, Clement has led transformation initiatives across data governance, systems architecture, and operational optimisation in complex, safety-critical environments. In 2023, he founded Rooted Deck to strengthen Botswana’s participation in EPC and EPCM ecosystems, positioning local engineering capability alongside automation, digital infrastructure, and

performance-driven project delivery.

Rooted Deck’s 2026 strategy champions Technology Integration, Industrial Automation, and structured Engineering Partnerships as foundational to sustainable mining growth. Holding a Master’s qualification in Data Science, Clement brings a forward-looking perspective on how EPC models must evolve, integrating engineering excellence with digital intelligence to deliver resilient, future-ready mining infrastructure.
