
Kagiso Madibana
Social Impact & Strategic Communications Consultant
Kagiso Madibana is a Social Impact and Strategic Communications Consultant with over 17 years of experience in media, public relations, and community development. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between organisations and communities through inclusive development and impact-driven initiatives.
A Chevening Scholar and alumna of Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media and Communications, Kagiso has received both local and international recognition for her community leadership. She is a recipient of Her Majesty The Queen’s Point of Light Award and has also been recognised through the Chevening Global Impact Award.
In December 2025, she received the Inaugural International Dr. A.R.K. Pillai Award for Excellence in Community Work from the Indian Development Foundation. She is also currently nominated for the Social Impact Champion Award at the Women’s Awards Botswana.
Kagiso has been recognised among Mail & Guardian / Gabz FM’s 50 Batswana Changemakers Under 40 and was an Africa Youth Awards finalist. Her contributions to community development have also earned her a place on the Wall of Fame at Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media and Communications.
She has played a key role in facilitating partnerships and fundraising for the development of a 60 bed inclusive orphanage in Sese village, Botswana, designed to support vulnerable children including those living with disabilities.
Her professional background also includes experience within Botswana’s mining sector through her work with Debswana Diamond Company, which informs her perspective on the intersection of industry, communities, and sustainable development.
